KTurtle is an educational programming environment for learning how to program. The programming language used is TurtleScript, which is loosely based on Logo. EduActiv8 is a desktop application containing hundreds of short, focused educational activities for early learners. It began in 2011 as a personal project — authored by a parent to help his son explore maths and language through play. Game-based mostly learning, on the other hand, is more immersive, using complete games designed specifically to teach particular skills or knowledge.

Wood then reveals the particular drawing and it tends to bring out a lot of laughter, she says.

ClassMarker isn’t interested in flashy colours or popping animation; it knows its purpose is to help teachers test college students and analyse their performance. Its more streamlined focus means it offers more question types than Kahoot and provides many more opportunities for personalising those questions.
